Construction Manager

World Class Capital Group is a leading national real estate investment firm focused on acquiring, developing, and managing high-quality real estate.

This role is responsible for leading construction projects of all sizes across the portfolio. The individual will participate with asset managers, acquisitions team members and development leads in guiding, pricing and contracting projects ranging from major renovations to tenant build outs to major building capital expenditures. Individual should feel proficient and comfortable on site and working with construction design, permitting, documentation, and construction administration. This position will be responsible for project management and delivery, including reporting associated to cost at completion, project status and resource management. The successful candidate will have knowledge of real estate transactions, general contracting methods, be detail oriented and purpose driven to set and meet deadlines.

* Secure and manage team of Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Vendors to complete various capital improvement initiatives * Oversee the flow of project communication, RFI’s, and ASI’s * Oversee project budget and fiscal documentation * Review construction documents to ensure applicability and project intent * Review submittals for compliance with the contract documents * Identify and coordinate value engineering * Critical review of proposed change orders * Oversee project schedule and identify critical path objectives * Oversee the production of summary reports, construction logs, meeting minutes, and general construction administration * Manage vendor solicitation, procurement, and contract negotiation * Review and authorize vendor Invoices * Enforce vendor contracts * Implement and enforce quality control objectives * Facilitate and drive problem solving through vendors and consultants * Perform site visits to document and observe compliance with the contract documents * Coordinate final project commissioning * Oversee project Closeout

* Knowledge and experience managing construction projects in commercial retail, office and multi-family * Strong communication skills * Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative in identifying and solving problems * BS in Building Construction, Construction Science or Architecture * Minimum 5 years full time experience * Experience and competency in MS Office Suite, MS Project * Experience working with multiple project delivery types to include Design Build, CM@R and Design Bid Build
