Salesforce Developer

Workday, Inc. is an on-demand (cloud-based) financial management and human capital management software vendor.

The Salesforce Developer intern is a key member of the Customer Operations, Support and Legal Operations IT team and will work along side senior team members to learn and build a successful, sustainable, and strategic Salesforce implementation at Workday.

* Develop applications in a way that is simple, intuitive and easy to use and will meet business requirements * Participate and collaborate in requirement analysis, Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployments, as well as sprint planning and strategic short term and long term roadmap * Work closely with product managers, business systems analysts, developers, architects and cross functional experts as needed * Strong sense of responsibility and resolving issues proactively * Reliability, dependability, and strong motivation to respond to requests quickly * Manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines * Flexibility regarding work schedule to meet position needs outside of regular business hours * Ensure security, integrity and consistency of critical user, customer and business partner data

* Knowledge of SaaS environments and web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, CSS, etc) * Experience programming in Java, C++, knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus * Ability to use development tools with the analytical and problem solving skills necessary to troubleshoot and provide user support * Solid technical aptitude and understanding, including technical agility * Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines under sometimes stressful conditions * Strong verbal and written communication skills * College level classes related to application design and development * Preferably major in Computer Science or Information Technology * Internship in application development position is preferred
