Job Description
- Hearst-owned WLKY-TV, the #1 CBS and MeTV affiliate in Louisville, KY has an immediate opening for an IT Manager.
- This position is dynamically diverse, fast paced, challenging and responsible for managing the local area network utilizing state of the art infrastructure and systems, including Cisco Nexus, UCS, VMware, EMC VNXe & Isilon.
- Partnering with Engineering for on-air broadcast systems & support, as well as user systems support. This is a hands on position in a mid-sized news oriented broadcast television environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain Cisco LAN/IT infrastructure, installation/support of network hardware/software
- VMware Virtual Management/Support
- Enterprise Backup Management/Support
- Windows Server / Desktop OS proficiency
- Desktop, laptop and workstation computer systems installation/management/support
- Provide technical guidance and support to end users Office 365 Production Suite Support Wireless & Remote connectivity installation/management/support Corporate Application installation/support
Ideal Candidate
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years in IT systems administration & management
- Experience in the television broadcast setting preferred
- Seasoned IT professional with proven ethical work experience and the desire to succeed
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with constant deadlines
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a positive attitude and be a team player
- Maintain Corporate Standards, Policies, and Procedures
Education
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Science or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of training and real world work experience.?
- Microsoft, Cisco, HP, or other certifications preferred
Required Experience
- In-depth experience with IP network connectivity & troubleshooting
- In-depth experience with virtual environments & systems backup/restore
- In-depth experience with all current MS Windows server/desktop operating systems Windows Active Directory management/support
- Experience with mobile device support & connectivity
- Experience with Enterprise & web-based applications
- Experience with remote connectivity
