Summary
Wisteria is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional for the position of Associate Product Designer. As a member of this team the Associate Product Designer will work with the Head Designer, Brand Management Team, and Director of Design to design and build technical drawings of potential products. The Associate Product Designer must have experience in managing multiple projects, possess strong organization skills, have good time management, and be a creative problem solver.
Responsibilities
* Designing technical drawings of potential home décor and furniture. * Assisting in print design for our in house wall art manufacturing. * Contributing and assisting the Brand Management Team with ideas, designs, and product development. * Coordinating developments with the project managers. * Researching manufacturing techniques in the current market place. * Researching market trends. * Multi-tasking. * Maintaining a professional atmosphere. * This is a full time position that sometimes includes working more than 40 hours a week.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience** * 2-4 years of experience in technical design. Furniture design experience is a plus. **Skills** * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Strong organizational skills, with attention to details, design specifics, and dates. * Experienced user of all Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word. * Experienced user of SolidWorks. * Experienced user of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. * Knowledge of federal and/or state regulations on materials used in manufacturing of furniture, textiles, and lighting. * Knowledge of file handling and transferring. * Knowledge of scanning and digital camera advanced techniques. * Ability to think creatively and juggle many tasks and personalities at once. * Strategic and independent thinking, planning, and follow-through skills. * Self-motivated and decisive. * Detail oriented with creative problem solving skills. * Ability to execute under accelerated timeframes. * Ability to quickly adapt to change in priorities. **Personal Characteristics** * Organized and detail oriented * Goal drive, self-starter * Ability to multi-task and prioritize * Eager to learn, excited to conquer challenges and seeks opportunity
