Summary
Wise Snacks is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The primary purpose of this role is to monitor all PLC/Computer based controlled systems/equipment and provide input on improving machine efficiency through program modifications and/or PLC/Operator Interface upgrades. The desired outcome of a successful individual in this role is to keep process systems and packing equipment functioning properly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
You'll monitor all PLC driven equipment and provide input on improving machine efficiency through program modifications and/or PLC/control system upgrades. * Maintain laptops with necessary software versions needed to support current and new control systems * Design control systems and power distribution throughout the plant * Create electrical wiring diagrams with AutoCAD * Write and/or modify PLC and/or Operator Interface programs * Supervise control panel fabrication You'll maintain a professional and ethical relationship in all internal and external business dealings * Work with vendor representatives to purchase electrical hardware/software to support plant equipment * Work with equipment sales/engineering representatives to integrate new equipment and/or systems into the plant You'll provide in-house training/support to Electronic Technicians and Packing Room Mechanics * Provide training and troubleshooting support on existing and new equipment * Provide training and troubleshooting on existing and new software packages You'll work closely with maintenance and production departments to identify areas of opportunity for productivity/efficiency improvements. You'll develop a thorough knowledge of all processing and packing operations and equipment.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimally Qualified Candidates have the following:** * BS Degree in Electrical Engineering * At least five years PLC Programming experience * At least two years supervisory experience * Prior experience in an industrial setting **Ideal Candidates also have the following:** * 10+ years PLC programming experience * 5+ years supervisory experience * Experience in a food manufacturing environment. * AutoCAD proficient.
