Summary
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible to assist the Retail Store Manager in motivating the sales team to achieve sales goals while also ensuring store compliance and effectiveness. This multi-tasking role involves achieving personal and store goals while developing leadership skills. This role will handle team and technical supervision and offer the expertise knowledge of products, customer service, and store functions. The Assistant Store Manager provides first point of contact assistance to the Store Manager and company leaders.
Responsibilities
* Provide a superior customer experience in-person and via the telephone * Demonstrate leadership by providing an active role on the sales floor ensuring a high quality of customer engagement * Foster a culture of teamwork, integrity, positivity, accountability, and accomplishment * Assist with operational duties, not limited to, inventory, cash handling, scheduling, and recruiting * Assist in individual growth of developing team members * Learn and maintain knowledge of company policy, procedure, training, and industry trends * Act with integrity and honesty with team members, leadership, and customers * Motivate, inspire, and lead a winning sales team * Participate in marketing efforts to solicit new business, promote new sales, and conduct outreach to the community * Meet personal and store goals * Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager or as requested by the District Manager * Demonstrate leadership on the sales floor with customer interaction, sales goals, and positive attitude * Partner with Store Manager to foster environment of success * Assist in other tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by management
Ideal Candidate
**Requirements:** * High school diploma or completed GED, college degree preferred * 6 months of retail experience, wireless preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent organization and time management skills * Flexible schedule to include days, evenings, and weekends * Basic computer skills, MS Office Suite knowledge preferred * Ability to motivate, lead, and inspire * Problem solving and timely decision making **Physical Demands** * Standing for long periods of time (up to 9 hours per day) * Move or lift up to 25 pounds
