Accountant

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work with individuals at all levels of the organization and with a growing Accounting team, to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Relocation assistance is available.

• Understanding of GAAP accounting sufficient to aid in prepare financial statements for the MGA's with minimal review.
• Understanding of statutory accounting sufficient to aid in preparation of financial statements for insurance companies with minimal review a plus. We will also train you for this.
• Accurate and timely preparation of schedules and information.
• Independently prepare all forms of reconciliations, including preparation and.or supervision of large bank reconciliations.

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of accounting experience required
• Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Excel and Quickbooks is a must
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet financial reporting deadlines
• Strong initiative and creativity in problem solving skills
• Expert attention to detail
