Works with the Client Advocate and the Client’s Executive Director of Captive Programs. Reports to the Managing Director or the COO of the San Francisco Willis Towers Watson office.
- Growing the RRG for Medical Malpractice
- Works with the Chief Strategy Officers and champion physicians of the medical centers to market and grow the Risk Retention Group
- Attending physician meetings & presenting the insurance program’s concept and benefits.
- Ensuring proper completion & submission of physician applications within Captus (Willis Towers Watson’ proprietary software) to not only grow the program but protect the captive from inadvertent enrollment errors.
- Advocating for & against premium credits and interacting directly with the Underwriting Committee of the Risk Retention Group who are employees of the client
- Presenting and explaining quotes and endorsement to physicians and physician practices.
- Answering questions regarding the financial strength of the program, and how its protections are different from other carriers and hospital-based insurance programs.
- Provides coverage and program design advice and expertise to Client Advocate
- Communicates with Client Advocate regarding program improvements and recommendations
Experience/Education:
- 3 – 5+ years industry experience in medical malpractice
- Technical placement, underwriting or sales experience
- Must have obtained insurance brokers license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of core insurance principles & provides explanation to clients
- Ability to conduct research
- Deep understanding of required placement workflows
