Summary
The Tech Specialist will provide internal control program management and develop/maintain tools to integrate internal and external corrosion control data which may include chemical treatments, monitoring and production data to enhance the integrity of our assets. The Specialist would work with a team of Company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Operations support teams, as well as Asset Integrity Specialists. The successful candidate must have previous experience in internal corrosion control and should be able to develop a working knowledge to prepare statements for reporting and analysis. The position would report to Tulsa, but would be located in the Pittsburgh Office and will provide Company-wide support.
Responsibilities
* Manage the internal corrosion control programs, ensuring adequate monitoring and mitigations to meet company standards, costs and a risk based culture. This includes coordination with local corrosion personnel and operations utilizing maintenance pigging, chemical treatments, production, topography and environmental concerns (50% work load). * Manage the corrosion database to process corrosion data, generate, analyze and distribute monthly reports, and work with field-based employees to resolve issues. (30% of work load) * Provide support for the Center of Excellence (COE), including standards and procedures development and trainings. (20% of work load). * Travel will be based on corrosion related problems and trainings.
Ideal Candidate
* At least 5 years of experience in internal corrosion control. * Working knowledge of corrosion control mitigation methodology and corrosion mechanisms. * Working knowledge of CFR parts 192 Natural Gas and 195 Liquid Pipeline Regulations preferred. * College degree is preferred but not required with sufficient corrosion experience.
