Responsibilities
Required: Bachelor's Degree and seven years or more job related experience. The Systems Integration Specialist will work in the Information Technology department within the Strategic Services Team. The position supports the backend core functions of Western Connecticut Health Networks ERP applications (Infor's Lawson and Oracle's PeopleSoft) to enable cost-effective, high quality and efficient services. The position will have a lead role in program and interface development, and the ideal candidate will have hands on experience and a solid understanding of all ERP tables and program structures. Strong analytical, evaluation and programming skills are required to provide support for multiple applications, systems, vendors, and users. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of end users and technical/subject matter experts. The position requires excellent documentation skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business or related field. * 7 or more years' experience in a business or information technology field as a Business, Systems or Programming Analyst. * Hand's on experience with either Infor's Lawson or Oracle's PeopleSoft ERP system in an information technology environment. * Experience in the following technologies: SQL Server, VB Script and VBA, JavaScript, .Net, SQL Server, SQR. * An understanding of the practical application of current and emerging technologies. * Strong analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and to recommend the most feasible and economical solutions. * Good understanding of architectures, analytical and design techniques, database technologies, and programming languages. * Ability to design applications using the appropriate systems architecture, database structures, and communication and network technologies. * Analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs, analyze all ramifications and implement complete solutions. * Familiarity with project management techniques and the ability to effectively participate in or potentially lead teams. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms.
