Summary

In a fast-paced production, team environment, the receiving tech will maintain a safe environment-compliant with all company standards. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for proper receiving and movement of raw products/supplies to assist in the production process.

Responsibilities
  • Unload and/or load trailers, storing product in appropriate storage areas, and deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation on shipments.
  • Maintain dock times and scheduling of dock doors.
  • Complete all bill of lading for outbound shipments and update system with correct information to allow for carrier payment.
  • Balance loader documentation with shipping order.
  • Manifest shipping orders, billing and inventory control.
  • Alert Supervisor of discrepancies if they arise.
  • Resolve paperwork discrepancies with receiving people or Supervisor as needed.
  • Check production work orders.
  • Adhere to disciplined inventory control procedures.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Understand all of the paperwork flow in receiving/shipping for both inbound and outbound shipping.
  • Adhere to food safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
  • Must have basic computer operational skills.
  • Previous experience working in production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in an operator role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Must be able to become powered industrial truck and forklift certified.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
