Summary
The Scheduling Manager is responsible for the direct supervision and managing of the scheduling teams in our Bolingbrook, IL, West Liberty, IA and Mt. Pleasant, IA facilities. This involves areas of responsibility in policy implementation, philosophies and department specifications. Enforces company and departmental policies to ensure a safe, healthy, productive environment for all team members while strategically meeting department and organization expectation.
Responsibilities
* Manage the production scheduling team. * Review inventory and production schedules to ensure fill rate and on time demand goals are met. * Manage and maintain capacity planning reports working closely with operations management, sales, and industrial engineering departments. * Analyze and respond to change within the organization. * Support new product development, spec changes to existing products and new plan/line start ups. * Perform scheduling duties as needed. * Complete supply chain projects as needed. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Preferred knowledge and Skills:** * Ability to read, write and speak English. * Basic computer skills including MS Office with advanced MS Excel required. * Must be able to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data. * Able to perform record keeping and mathematics necessary for employment purposes. * Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed. * Must welcome change and have a continuous improvement state of mind. * Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with other team members. **Education and Experience Requirements:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operation Management or Industrial Engineering is preferred. * Two to four years related experience is preferred. * Previous supervisory experience is preferred. * APICS CPIM and APICS CSCP is preferred.
