Summary
We are seeking a creative and talented Senior Audience Development Manager to join our team in NYC and play a key role in increasing traffic and audience reach. This person will manage Wenner Media’s paid traffic budget across all three of its digital properties: Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, and Men’s Journal. The ideal candidate is a paid traffic expert, is passionate about our brands/users, and can adeptly manage key internal stakeholders and external partners. This person may also be called upon to help develop new video syndication partnerships and assist with other audience development projects as required.
Responsibilities
* Manage and optimize existing paid traffic vendor relationships * Develop, test, and evaluate new strategies and solutions to drive more website visitors through paid traffic acquisition, paid search, social, native advertising, and other means * Set up acquisition campaigns and manage budgets efficiently * Analyze and optimize campaign performance to hit ROI goals and ensure quality traffic is being driven * Continuously identify new traffic-driving opportunities beyond the paid realm * Work cross-functionally with various departments such as Editorial, Ad Ops, Custom Solutions, and Development to fulfill major campaigns * Identify and develop new video syndication partnerships
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree required (BA/BS) * A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in digital media, either on the agency, publisher or brand side * A minimum of 2 years in website audience development and/or running paid traffic acquisition campaigns on social networks and content recommendation platforms * Fluency in Google Analytics and various social analytics tools required * Excellent attention to detail is essential; must be metrics-driven and results-oriented with demonstrated analytical skills and organization * Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required * Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team * Willing and able to adjust to changing demands and shifting priorities; grace under fire a must with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Passion for all Wenner Media brands required; must especially be fluent in entertainment media * Experience with video syndication and off-site pre-roll fulfillment a bonus but not necessary
