Summary
The Americas Institutional Group (AIG) has responsibility of knowing the investment agenda of the institutional market of investors, retaining current client assets, and bringing in additional assets for the firm to manage. AIG is searching for a senior level director to develop and execute strategy for the defined contribution distribution channels including DC specialist advisors and large, national record-keepers, as well as drive integration with our sub-advisory partners.
Responsibilities
The Director of defined Contribution Distribution will be responsible for developing and leading investment programs to meet the needs of our key distribution outlets, including DC product development efforts in coordination with the Investment Products and Strategies (IPS) team and Wellington Trust Company The Director will also work in close partnership with the Consultant Relations team and our sub-advisory partners to ensure that we are properly covering all available opportunities in this important market. For example, the Manager might discuss DC plan design and construction challenges, communication issues, regulatory and marketplace developments and trends, new products, financial markets, and Wellington's range of investment styles. As an external representative of the firm in the marketplace, this individual also will be expected to participate in industry conferences and other relevant forums and expand client-related relationships with the consultant community, with an emphasis on defined contribution.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree * Minimum of ten years experience within the investment industry * Solid understanding of the needs of institutional investors and the DC marketplace * Solid background in equity and fixed income investing * CFA designation, currently working toward a CFA designation, or graduate level degree preferred
