Responsibilities
* Serving as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops software applications. * Having a basic understanding of the main concepts of Pega PRPC, their features and limitations. * Writing code and unit tests, working on specs, automation, and conducting code reviews and testing. * Identifying exciting opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges. * Performing ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement. * Working with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manages a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues. * Provide leadership and technical expertise in requirements solicitation, system analysis, technical design, programming and documentation of information systems. **Essential Functions:** * Prepare detailed functional specifications, design models, and system workflows from which software applications will be developed and implemented. * Conducts code reviews to ensure developers and engineers are adhering to development guidelines and industry best practices. * Leads, mentors and assists software developers/engineers with technical issues. * Leads software developers, software development teams and application development projects as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Experience working as a lead developer using a popular object-oriented language, ideally Java or C# in a Agile setting * Experience delivering web based applications using a popular container-based framework like Java/J2EE or Spring, C#/.NET or Ruby on Rails. * Workflow experience is preferred * Object Oriented experience is preferred * Workflow experience is preferred * Experience with PEGA technologies is highly preferred * Highly collaborative personality with demonstrated experience with at least one enterprise initiative using either an Agile or Lean approach where close interaction with business and technical users was required. * Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or equivalent **Experience:** * 3-5 years experience with implementing large complex development applications * 3 or more years experience application integration with third party/external sources. * 3-5 years experience with .NET (C#), Java (J2EE) and/or client server object oriented technologies * 3 or more years architecture exposure; SOA design and implementation * 2 or more years of Salesforce.com design, development and implementation experience * 5 or more years experience in database design, development, and normalization using Oracle DBMS * 5 or more years experience in both the use of structured and object oriented systems analysis, design, development tools, and techniques * 5 or more years experience with SQL * 3 or more years experience with XML * 3 or more years experience with PL/SQL **Licenses/Certifications:** * Certified Salesforce.com developer **Special Skills (e.g. 2nd language):** **Technical Skills/Requirements:** * Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express and document complex technical concepts in business terms.
