We are seeking an Oracle Application Database Administrator with experience in managing Oracle applications including Oracle EBS R12 applications and administration of Oracle Databases, experience with monitoring application systems, instance cloning, code migrations and applying application patches, and comfortable with supporting a 24/7 state of the art Oracle application environment. Responsibilities
* Maintain production, QA, test and development of ERP and database environments, install, configure, administer and upgrade of Oracle EBS 12.2. * Provide maintenance activity like patching, cloning and code migration, troubleshoot online patching using ADOP and EBS related processes. Administration and troubleshooting of Concurrent Mangers, workflow, forms, users, responsibilities and concurrent programs. * Collaborate with business analysts, developers, functional teams and business owners in the testing of ERP programs and applications. * Customized monitoring scripts using Shell/Perl scripting languages. Install/upgrade of Oracle databases and maintain database security, backup and recovery, performance tuning of PL/SQL queries. * Perform routine capacity planning tasks for database systems and services, proactively monitor the database environment and landscape, generate reports showing the utilization of the database servers. * Utilize expertise with database administration, architecture, performance tuning, DR, data management and architecture strategy, incident management, outage review, analysis and assessment in a LINUX and Windows. * Advise and instruct developers on SQL tuning and PL/SQL best practices and document best practices, policies and procedures. Updates operations documentation and documents installation instructions. * Install, configure, troubleshoot database issues and related software to ensure application servers are built and maintained to meet business service levels. Communicate project deadlines to ensure on time project delivery as necessary and provide 24/7 on-call support.
Ideal Candidate
* BS in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience in related field * 6 or more years of Oracle Application Database Administration experience * 5 or more years of Oracle Database Administration * 5 or more years of Linux Platform * 3 or more years of experience with Linux Shell/Perl scripting language * Experience with MySQL a plus Related Keywords: Oracle Application Database Administrator, Oracle Database Administrator, Oracle application EBS R12, Shell/Perl scripting languages ,ADOP, SQL Tuning and PL/SQL
