Mobile App Designer

WebMD is a leading provider of health information services to consumers, physicians, healthcare professionals, employers and health plans.

WebMD is seeking a passionate Mobile App Designer with experience working across mobile apps on multiple platforms. Candidates must be able to demonstrate mastery of Apple’s iOS Human Interface Guidelines, as well a strong working knowledge of Google’s Material Design.

We’re looking for someone to create cutting-edge, ultra-usable digital designs for the products that bring healthcare information to our millions of devoted users. We need an intensely motivated, positive, and solutions-focused individual; a truly extraordinary designer with fresh ideas and a love for problem-solving.

This Mobile App Designer will report to our Director of Mobile Products, and will collaborate closely with Mobile Product Managers and the rest of the Product Design Team.

• Delivering high quality polished visual designs
• Wireframing user flows and complex UI solutions
• Taking art direction from stakeholders who have specific strategies for the design
• Managing your time to ensure you are on target for deadlines and deliverables
• Communicating creative solutions to internal clients as well as interdepartmental problem solving
• Testing your designs for compatibility and compliance Juggling multiple design initiatives at any one given time
• Working with developers to document and review user interface enhancements
• Generating prototype designs for sales, marketing, and various business users

What You Need For This Position (minimum qualifications)

• A portfolio that demonstrates beautiful and innovative native app design
• Demonstrated mastery of Apple’s iOS Human
• Interface Guidelines, as well a strong working knowledge of Google’s Material Design
• Proven ability to deliver high quality polished visual designs
• Proven ability to wireframe user flows and complex UI solutions
• Facility with taking art direction as well as direction from stakeholders who have specific strategies for the design
• Proven ability to manage your time as well as be on target for deadlines and deliverables
• Demonstrated ability to offer and communicate creative solutions to clients as well as interdepartmental problem solving
• Demonstrable knowledge in compatibility and compliance testing for your designs
• Proven ability to juggle multiple design initiatives at any given time
• Knowledge of UX and IA design principles
• Must be self-sufficient and possess good oral, written and visual communications skills.
