Wearsafe Labs is seeking a bright and creative Software Engineer with Web and Java expertise to join our team. Specifically, we’re looking for someone who will thrive as part of our growing entrepreneurial company, helping us envision and create awesome products with a great customer experience! **What you’ll be doing:** * Creating cool web apps that work in the most popular browsers and with multiple form factor devices. * Working both face to face and remotely with a small team of peers and partners to develop crisp designs, create great code, and bring products to market quickly. * Creating mock-ups and prototypes to express ideas and gather feedback. * Sharing your thoughts and ideas freely and constructively, and listening well and being supportive. * Training and mentoring more junior members of our staff as we grow. * Getting, sharing, and responding to feedback from our users to help us improve our products and providing them top-notch support.

* Extensive expertise with web app development and design patterns. * Experience with Spring will be a big plus. * Experience integrating web with mobile, and with REST APIs. * A focus on quality while still being able to get things done on time. * Strong SQL and relational databases expertise. * Experience creating awesome and intuitive user interfaces using responsive design. * Desire for intellectual challenge, building great things and having fun. * Enthusiasm and creativity to provide unique and effective approaches to problem solving. * A strong work ethic coupled with a desire to continually improve. * The ability to work well as part of a team, even when members are sometimes working remotely. * Some experience with UNIX server environments and hosted application platforms. * You’ll need to be a US citizen or have a valid work permit.
