Warehouse Supervisor

Responsible for the safety, well being and productivity of the night shift associates and surrounding warehouse areas. Oversee and ensure that warehouse associates follow all safety procedures and ensure WAXIE policies are adhered to. Supervise, train and mentor all associates to increase job satisfaction as well as continually increase productivity.

* Ensure all Equipment is signed out. (RF Guns, Forklifts, Pickers and Turret Truck) * Using the Routing Guideline, transfer all routes from the AS400 to the RF guns. Print all routes and compile all POD’s, carrier summaries, SDS sheets and Packing lists for each route and compile clipboards that will be staged with the key for each truck. * Organize and delegate talent to task for each independent picking section. * Supervise and coach to accurate and safe picking/loading habits. * Inspect all back orders prior to confirming as a back order. * Oversee truck loading to insure required equipment is consistently loaded and prepared for the following day’s deliveries. * Administer and maintain row-bin-tier accuracy to include reporting 4th and 5th tier picks. * Communicate with the Fleet Supervisor on any/all concerns with regards to the daily Routing. * Inspect, troubleshoot and proactively communicate concerns with all relative department heads with regards to warehouse computers, printers, scanners and any other miscellanies problems that occur in the warehouse. * Effectively coach and resolve concerns brought to you by your direct reports and insure Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager are involved when needed and made aware of any of the concerns addressed. All within a reasonable timeline. * Supervise Night Drivers to include but not limited to their reporting obligations, accident investigations, with a post debrief with Warehouse Manager and or Operations Manager. All within a reasonable timeline. * Always present yourself in a Positive and Productive Manner. * Follow chain of Leadership when surfacing employee grievances and within a timely manner. * Proactively offer suggestions for process improvement and continually pole your direct reports for the same. * Meet with your respective Direct Reports one on one no less than once per month with a specific agenda. Agenda should be created by you in an outline format and presented to Warehouse Manager for additional feedback and suggestions. * Approach all other duties as assigned with a Positive and Productive attitude as well as continually offer input in order to increase job satisfaction as well as productivity. * Ensure all PPE is being utilized correctly and conduct daily inspections on all safety equipment. * Regularly inspect warehouse equipment & surroundings, insuring all clear of any potential safety hazards and all areas are in good working order. * Insure weekly safety training is presented, understood by all and adhered to. * Provide required forklift certification training per company guidelines. * Other duties as assigned

* Prior supervisory or lead experience (distribution and warehousing environment preferred). * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills. * Strong analytical skills with proficiency level in Microsoft Word and Excel. * Previous AS400 (Aplus) experience is preferred. * Ability to multi-task. * Must be able to obtain a WAXIE forklift license (WAXIE to provide training). * High school diploma or equivalent required.
