Summary
W.R. Grace & Co., a leading manufacturer of Specialty Chemicals has an immediate need for a GMP Technician at its Curtis Bay Facility.
Responsibilities
* Create and deliver short training sessions on practical application of GMP. Also, assist in the implementation of overall GMP training * Administer the K1 pest control program, reviewing vendor records and make recommendations for improvements. Ensure compliance to internal policies and procedures, * Establish validation plans related to MOC related to products included in the GMP certification. Execute validation plans and report on programs * Assist with customer returns, labeling, and rework to ensure control of non-conforming materials * Assist in preparation for customer and regulator audits, including GMP certification and ISO. Ensure records are available for appropriate product line. * Administer the internal GMP audit program, collecting data and developing reports for the quality manager. * Develop improvement plans to reduce product contamination and ensure compliance with internal GMP standards for equipment control and maintenance; including operations and maintenance tools to eliminate cross contamination * Participate in customer complaint investigations regarding GMP products (packaging, labeling and fitness for use) * Participate on container selection teams * Develop, lead and maintain GMP cleaning programs throughout K1 * Complete anti-microbial testing of storage silos * Co-lead the Food Safety team to improve employee awareness and engagement around food safety and GMP processes
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills** * Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization * Strong team work and team building abilities * Work safely, safely lift up to 50 pounds, wear requisite safety equipment and be physically able to reach remote areas of the plant * Train, coach and mentor employees in good manufacturing practices * Must be able to exercise good judgment: evaluate data and trends and make decisions based on the data * Good computer skills. Interface with instrumentation through the computer * Innovative, action oriented problem solving skills **Required Experience** * Five to seven years job related experience in plant operations, preferably in GMP processes * High School/Equivalent * W.R.
