Summary
Grace is seeking a technical, hands-on Desktop Team Lead for IT Infrastructure and Operations who can lead a team of 2-3 Systems Administrators - End User Computing. The Team Lead is responsible for the day to day execution of Desktop operations and may also be responsible for the support of Desktop functions at other remote locations within the region. Ensures compliance and consistency with all company policies, processes, procedures and other standards, regulations and documentation. Desktop Lead is responsible for their local Corporate IT budgets (Ex: Ordering and tracking Desktop and Laptop orders). Desktop Lead ensures that members of their team are in the correct personal development path to achieve the goals, missions and projects assigned to them. Provides guidance, training, troubleshooting support and expertise to the team and users for all Desktop related services. Manages and maintains all Desktop related equipment including all asset data regularly throughout the life cycle of each asset. Ensure local activities comply with Grace Global IT standards. Individual ensures operational data backup and Disaster Recovery procedures following Global IT guidelines and company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Management of the corporate Desktop team. Organizes their planning and workload; ensure that the team provides high level of service. Proposes training and interpersonal skill development programs for direct reports; * Manage PC and peripheral hardware and software equipment at supported sites, including maintenance of asset and software inventory and appropriate licenses; * Manage IT spending following corporate standards and guidelines; * Propose and participate in local projects or technical solutions for business where IT technical skills are needed, aligned with the Grace standards, rules and policies; * Responsible for receiving, configuring, testing, and installing new desktop and notebook systems and for assisting with the testing and installation of new or upgraded versions of PC client software * Coordinate the management of all incidents, tasks and service requests to Desktop team; * Perform technical support and documentation of those tasks and periodic reporting; * Assists Analyst - Systems Administrator in support of Infrastructure services outside of desk services as a backup; * Participation as a member of the Grace Information Technology team on various projects, implementation of technology, testing of equipment, development of standards or documentation of architecture. This participation may be optional or required as directed by management.

**Required Skills** * Direct experience of project planning and managing a Desktop services team; * Management of capital and expense budgets; * Ability to interact with various levels of management in different functional areas; * Strong influencing skills to inspire trust and command the respect of direct reports, peers and senior management; * Excellent analytical and organization skills and Strong written and oral communications skills; * Ability to work independently within tight deadlines and balance workload effectively; * Ability to independently make decisions. Be a team player, coach and mentor; * Results oriented and can demonstrate a ‘can-do’ behavior, adaptability, flexibility and creativity. **Required Experience** * Requires 5-10 years of relevant experience including a minimum of 2 years leading a Desktop team or projects within the IT areas defined above; * Associates degree required, bachelors degree preferred; * Experience must include Windows Operating, Physical and Virtual, remote access software/systems, configuring clients for Microsoft Active Directory networks, and TCP/IP. Must have experience with PC-based e-mail systems, (Outlook client experience preferred); office application suites, (MSOffice preferred); PowerBroker, Ghost and desktop anti-virus & encryption software, (Symantec preferred). Technical certifications in the following areas a plus: A+, Cisco Switches, Dell, HP/Compaq, and Microsoft; * Broad range of experience should include extensive knowledge of Intel based hardware; Microsoft based operating systems and software as well as Cisco networking technologies a plus; * Travel up to 5-10% possible depending on projects, support of remote sites, interfacing with other corporate teams.
