Delivery Driver

VWR (NASDAQ: VWR), headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania, is the leading, global, independent provider of products, services and solutions to laboratory and production facilities.

The Driver is responsible for the efficient transportation of product/material to customers in a manner and condition that meets customer and company requirements. Also responsible for the timely reporting of overages, shortages, damages and delays. This part-time role will be approximately 30 hours each week.

* Transports and delivers goods in accordance with the schedule as determined by the customer. * Unloads or assists in unloading packages/materials as required. Properly secures loads and ensures loads are within weight limits. * Verifies count and condition of goods loaded and unloaded. Makes reports of overages, shortages and breakage/damage as needed. * Operates the delivery van/truck in a safe manner. * Reports any vehicle problems and defects to management. * Complies with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and other standards and regulations. * Maintains a good driving record. * Ensures good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and acting in a courteous and professional manner.

**Experience & Skills**: * Strong communication skills * Excellent customer service skills; display a professional can-do attitude * High regard for safety, quality, and site/customer protocols, policies and procedures * Must be flexible, motivated, and have the ability to act independently * Must be able to safely lift 50lbs minimum * Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkups **Qualifications:** * High school diploma or GED required * 1-3 years applicable experience required * Valid driver’s license **Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:** * Typically works in an office with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. * Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. * A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis. * Work requires walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 50 lbs
