Full Stack Engineer

Voxy is looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer who wants to dramatically improve the way millions of people around the world learn English. Our development environment is fast-paced, Agile, TDD driven, relies heavily on eXtreme Programming techniques for the bulk of the engineering work and this developer will be too!

* Build great user experiences for students who speak different languages and live all over the planet * Use modern Javascript and Python tools to build fluid, engaging front-end web applications in a SPA architecture * Collaborate with Designers and Product Managers to iteratively refine features * Build code that is testable, and work with Ops to build code that is deployable and measurable * Help solve one of the hardest problems in education with the smartest team in EdTech

* Logical and intuitive with an ability to link “unlinkable” dots * 3+ years of experience working with a wide array of implementations across the backend, frontend and middleware (extra points for having worked with devops and hosting infrastructure!) * Familiar with modern front end tools such as coffeescript, backbone.js, underscore, LESS, Jade * On the backend, familiar with tools like SQL (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), Django, Amazon Web Services * Curiosity and knowledge about the technologies and architectural patterns underlying the web * Really enjoys the challenges unique to being truly “full stack” * Humble, wise or funny (pick 2)
