Senior UI / UX Developer East

VOSTROM conducts advanced research and develops innovative software and systems that help meet network security and reliability challenges for organizations world-wide.

We are looking for an experienced User Interface / UI / UX / Front End developer based in one of several major metro areas. For the right candidate remote work is a possibility with travel to one of these areas several times per year.

* You'll be developing data analysis and visualization tools for Big Data applications based on Elasticsearch and MongoDB and will be a critical contributor to our Open Source projects in these areas. * Develop user interfaces for web applications people use every day * Find ways to make apps fun and natural, so users intuitively know how to work the app * Build applications and back-end frameworks that are maintainable, flexible and scaleable * Participate in the Open Source community and improve our Open Source projects

* Experience with Javascript, Angular.js and Node.js * Advanced experience with web technologies including REST, Web Sockets, HTML 5 and CSS * Familiarity with data visualization tools like D3.js, Highcharts, sigmajs or graphviz * Familiarity with jQuery * Mac OS X familiarity * US Citizenship or unconditional authorization to work in the US * Development experience with any of Elasticsearch, Solr, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or other BIG databasesExperience with React.js or similar libraries * Experience working with large amounts of XML or JSON data * Experience with Python, Ruby, Perl and/or shell scripting * Experience with the Go programming language * BS or MS in a technology or scientific field of study * High energy level and pleasant, positive attitude! * Evidence of working well within a diverse team
