Visual Designer

Volusion is a fully hosted, all-in-one shopping cart software trusted by over 40,000 merchants. The platform, designed for small and medium business owners, includes everything you need to succeed.

As a Visual Designer for Volusion you will be part of a team supporting our Product, Marketing, Business Development, and People and Culture teams. We get our hands dirty in: responsive web design, emails, digital marketing, infographics, print collateral, trade show and event displays, merchandise and more. At Volusion we have the freedom and resources to recommend and produce whatever innovative, creative ideas we come up with!

* Focused on generating ideas and executing projects that are centered around making an enjoyable, seamless experience for our new customers * Collaborating and communicating efficiently with team members * A brand ambassador, executing consistent brand experiences and designing the tools for anyone representing Volusion to do the same * Using testing resources to help us measure the effectiveness of projects (before and after) and inform ideas for future projects/tests * Help to inspire and inform a design culture across the company * Produce conceptual illustrations to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand visuals * Collaborating with the product team to carry the Volusion brand into our product

**We are looking for someone with:** * 3+ years of experience working as a visual designer * Exceptional online portfolio featuring examples of visual design work * Degree in Visual Design, Communication Design, or related field * Understanding how designs translate to code * Experience working on web design projects with front end engineers * Experience using the Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, indesign & Illustrator) **Great Bonus Skills:** * Experience using prototyping tools such as InvisionApp * Animation experience (using tools like AfterEffects, Principal, etc.) * Photography or video production and editing experience * Experience working on or running an ecommerce site or online store presence * Experience creating and executing user experience tests
