Staff Engineer

As part of the VMware Cloud Management Engineering services team, you will work with the team of Engineers testing the platform and products in this area. As a member of the team you will be working in a team on end to end, scale, and performance testing; develop tools to support that approach, define and implement automation for these testing areas. You will closely work with developers, product managers and customers on delivering high quality releases of Cloud management suite products. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Architect, design, develop and enhance test frameworks and tools??; integrate them with the existing internal solutions Define the strategy and design for the scale, stress and performance automation and testing Being an expert of management suite products, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to improve product as a whole from a customer perspective Work closely with VMware development and product management teams and collaborate on the new releases that will improve customer satisfaction with Cloud management suite products. Take initiative to improve products, tools, and process Create and review test plans, test cases, and test specifications Interact with offshore R&D sites

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent * 7+ years of programming experience in Java * Proficiency in one or more of the following frameworks: TestNG, Selenium, Spring, Hibernate, GWT, JavaScript, HTML5, REST API * Python, Ruby knowledge is a big plus * Proven ability testing high-quality software * Experience in developing test frameworks and tools * Experience in API test development using Java * Manage activities to meet the delivery dates and report accurate, complete status * Excellent written and verbal communication skills required * Virtualization, cloud management, and system administration skills is a plus * Experience working with offshore teams highly desirable
