MVC Inventory Accounting Analyst

We currently have an opening for a top notch individual at our Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas for the position of Inventory Accounting Analyst (Managed Vision Care). The Analyst will Ensure accuracy of information posted to the Inventory sub-ledger system in IPMS and provider stock ledger (PSL) in IPD for Davis Collection Activity. Ensure Provider Inventory events are completed as planned. Research Provider Stock Ledger issues.

* Assist with the tracking and management of all independent provider inventory events relating to product movement. * Maintain Master File of Davis Retro event activity to ensure accurate information is posted into IPD system (Island Pacific Direct). * Assist with review of provider event inventory files, ensuring validity of count information received from RGIS (outside inventory service). * Communication to Davis providers in order to validate questionable RGIS count data / past due product returns. * Review of providers with a termed status in the IP system,–ensuring the necessary steps are taken to update status and/or correct Provider Stock Ledger. * Process weekly Provider to Provider transfers of inventory within the sub-ledger system. * Research and provide resolution to Provider Stock Ledger issues. * Ensure RGIS event documentation is saved to the Davis shared drive. * Produce ad hoc reporting requested by providers. * Assist with periodic invoice price testing and other internal control functions for Davis and inventory. * Ongoing documentation of processes/reporting for Inventory Accounting functions.

**Education:** * Preferred bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination or experience and education **Experience & Background:** * One to three (3) years of experience in accounting * Experience with Inventory helpful * Proficient in MS Excel * Good working knowledge of MS Word * AS400 and Island Pacific (IP) Software experience helpful **Language Skills:** * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and various correspondence from both internal and external parties. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to speak effectively both individually and before groups of customers and/or various levels of Associates within the organization. **Mathematical Skills:** * Strong mathematical skills with a general understanding of retail inventory formulas and calculations **Reasoning Ability** * Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions * Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions independently; escalate issues appropriately **Physical Demands/Work Environment:** * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
