Responsibilities
This position provides expert on-site technical support for major enterprise vendor applications in order to keep the applications running as close to 7x24 as possible and as efficiently as possible. It also provides expert consulting services and performs technical tasks to install and maintain multiple production and non-production environments for fixes, enhancements and upgrades to vendor software.
Ideal Candidate
* This position requires a Bachelor's degree (or the equivalent thereof) in MIS, IS, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration with emphasis in information systems, or a related field (e.g. statistics, mathematics, physics) with 2 - 4 years related experience. * At least 4 years of application programming or scripting experience is required along with 2 years working with vendor products. * Must have working knowledge of operating systems, databases, scripting, client server, data communications and network technologies. * Must possess ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, provide front line support working with vendor support, work overtime and be on call when required. * Preferred requirements include over 2 years experience with applicable vendor software and a strong understanding of vendor software architecture or 3-tiered client server application.
