Senior Project Manager, IS

Established in 1920, Virginia Mason began as an 80-bed hospital with six physician offices. It was named after the daughters of James Tate Mason, MD, and John M. Blackford, MD, who co-founded the clinic with radiologist Maurice Dwyer, MD.

This position provides leadership for information systems initiatives to ensure project budget, schedule and scope requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner. Plans and directs the installation of application systems projects which typically involve multiple systems and impact more than one area. Provides formalized, continuing work direction and leadership to assigned team (s) of systems analyst programmers, interface programmers and system engineers, including the scheduling, assignment, and review of project work.

* Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or equivalent required. * Seven (7) years progressively more responsible information systems project management experience required. * Must be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. * Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical/problem-solving skills, and team facilitation skills. * Demonstrated computer skills, including the ability to use database and statistical reporting software and project management software. **Preferred**: * Master's degree, PMI certification and/or working knowledge of lean thinking concepts and methods is preferred.
