Responsibilities
This is a senior position that is responsible for engineering, designing, implementing and testing the networking technologies needed to meet customer and network support requirements. This includes but is not limited to: routing, QoS, virtual routing, switching, virtual switching, firewalling, load balancing, multicasting, enterprise IPAM, Internet, virtual private networking, enterprise wireless, transport protocols, physical connectivity, network security, AAA, network time and network monitoring solution.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience in technical operations, network engineering and support required. * Must have 8 or more years of experience in production support of enterprise class infrastructure. * Expert knowledge of network infrastructure related technologies, support processes, standard configurations, incident and problem management, root cause analysis, performance tuning, security solutions, and general operation and maintenance of enterprise networks also required. * Proven ability to manage complex engineering and operational challenges and participate with other functional teams in systems integration and design required. * Must be able to produce detailed operational and procedural documentation that illustrates and justifies the engineered and designed network solutions. * Excellent judgment, problem resolution, team participation, and decision-making skills as well as the ability to work under continual deadline pressure required. * Good written and verbal communication and concept presentation skills are also required. **Preferred:** * Technical certification(s) in current network infrastructure technologies is preferred.
