Sales Audit Specialist

The Sales Audit Specialist will report to the Senior Accountant. The Sales Audit Specialist will support the Vince Retail Operations and Ecommerce teams by performing day-to-day sales audit functions and related accounting activities including month end close and financial audits (e.g. year-end audits). The Sales Audit Specialist will work closely with other Accounting team members, as well as retail operations, retail IT and retail store personnel.

* Reconcile retail store sales on a daily basis * Partner with retail stores and IT to investigate POS register cash variances and process corrected transactions where applicable * Respond to chargeback and retrieval requests * Gift card administration including issuance, termination and adjustments as needed * Prepare monthly journal entries for sales, bank over/short, credit card fees, bad debt, clothing allowance and other items * Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of cash activity * Perform monthly reconciliations including credit card and gift card balances as well as other items * Assists with special projects and research on an as needed basis

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred * Previous Sales Audit experience required * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to perform critical analysis and thinking, prioritize and problem solve * Ability to work under pressure and multi task with time sensitive constraints * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proactive individual who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment * Work effectively within the department and across departments * Desire to identify and implement process improvement opportunities * Prior experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred
