Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst II position involves testing and reporting defects, assisting with review of defects for accuracy, assisting with pre/post testing review for all releases and maintaining the accuracy of all testing checklists. As well as interacts with Software Development, Hardware Development, and Project Managers to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for VGT products.
Responsibilities
* Extract test requirements from product functional specification documents, or via discussions with software developers and project managers * Design, implement, and maintain manual test plans * Execute manual and automated test plans * Enter defect reports into defect database * Generate test reports to summarize results of a test sweep * Assist in recreating problems reported from the field * Maintain or assemble VGT Player Terminals * Must be able to obtain a gaming license * Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of test strategy documents * May design, implement, and maintain QA SharePoint pages * Mentors Quality Assurance Analyst I * Performs other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Familiar with Software Quality Assurance concepts, practices, and procedures * Understands the various models of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) * Aware of regulatory and compliance process * Familiar with regulations for the jurisdictions where VGT equipment is used * Has professional experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows operation systems * Has knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Project * Recognized subject matter expert in at least one area for which testing is done within the department * Attention to detail * Strong communication both oral and written * Strong interpersonal skills to interact with casino and VGT Associates * Must be able to travel on company business, including having a valid driver’s license * High degree of personal integrity * Can effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously while also mentoring other QA Analysts * A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected * Experience in the casino industry preferred * Experience with VGT products preferred * Professional experience with TestTrack Pro, QuickTest Pro, Perforce, Python, Wireshark, Frontline serial line analyzer, and XML a plus
