RN - ICU Registered Nurse - RN - Full Time Day & Night

The Registered Nurse-RN ICU develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care of assigned patients and families in the Intensive Care Unit. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care.

Specific components of the Registered Nurse-ICU role include demonstrating critical care skills; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing critical care expertise.

* Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Must hold an unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the State of Texas. * Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in a critical care/ICU and/or Emergency Room environment. * Must also possess a current certification and/or training in BCLS and ACLS. * Current immunizations and/or screenings (MMR, DPT, Varicella, HEP B and TB) required. * Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process. * Ability to identify learning needs and teach patients and families. * Ability to communicate, collaborate, and delegate effectively. * Organizational and priority setting skills. * Ability to lift/move patients. * Ability to actively participate in an independent professional model. * Qualities of self-motivation; commitment to critical care continuing education and professional growth; accountability for professional practice standards.
