This position is responsible for installing, wiring and testing electronic systems including fire security, card access, and door entry and paging/sound systems. May act as the team leader within the installer crew.

* This position is responsible for installing, wiring and testing electronic systems including fire security, card access, and door entry and paging/sound systems. May act as the team Pull cables, mount panels and back boxes. * Runs conduits and wire mold. * Mounts field devices. * Completes associated paperwork. * Does basic troubleshooting. * Terminates devices and panels. * Roughs in jobs and cuts in boxes. * Communicates with team members to efficiently pursue company goals of installing systems according to acceptable standards and practices. * May lead a work crew on small jobs without a Foreman. Supervises and gives direction to installers as required.leader within the installer crew.

**Skills and Abilities Required:** * Ability to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license. * Task oriented with the ability to effectively supervise installers. * Knowledge of NFPA alarm system requirements; the ability to interpret code books and handbooks. * Knowledge of general construction installation practices including raceway, fasteners, etc. * Must have customer relations experience and skills including food communication skills. * Must have a positive and respectful attitude and maintain good working relationship with management staff and employees. * Must maintain good driving record (insurable through our insurance carrier) for driving to/from job site. **Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:** * Various electronic alarm systems, test equipment, communications equipment, drills and other hand tools. **Education and Experience Required:** * Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent supplemented with 1-3 years related industry experience. * Electronic or technical school preferred but not required. * Basic computer literacy required and system specific training.
