Summary
As Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy and execution of Venmo marketing campaigns that will stretch across advertising & media, social, experiential and content. This role will sit at the intersection of all parts of the business: comms, sales, product and customer support. The right person for this role will understand the realm of social commerce and have the ability to leverage all parts of the marketing mix to engage our audience. Success in this role means collaborating with the internal and agency teams, distilling product innovation into simple and compelling creative solutions with the goal of elevating the awareness, consideration, acquisition and engagement with the Venmo brand.
Responsibilities
* Think strategically and creatively to lead initiatives (our own + with partner brands) that will deliver on brand, company, and marketing goals with a high ROI. * Concept, plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns from inception through final execution - brand partnerships, pop up events, social campaigns, college campus promotions etc - and be able to measure effectiveness. * Manage Venmo’s overarching social & community strategies, including creating a channel plan with both existing and unexplored channels. * Maintain Venmo’s presence on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram; uncover and nurture other relevant social platforms. Should we be on Vine? Pinterest? You tell us. * Manage and direct creative & media agencies to produce fun & bold ideas starting with writing a briefs through to final execution. * Implement best practices for social listening, uploading, tagging, reporting, and optimization of campaigns. * Use a hypothesis-driven method to structure, test & analyze major brand, customer & marketing questions * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and understand how those trends impact our users and our products * Manage the budget for assigned projects
Ideal Candidate
* 5-7 years experience in marketing at a fast growing tech startup, established brand or creative agency * Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels – a hands-on team player * Evidence of creatively thinking outside the box * Excellent and versatile communication skills. You will have no problem crafting anything from a 140-character tweet to a 1,400 blog post and can do so in the Venmo voice. * Exceptional ability to analyze results of programs or research and derive actionable insights * The ability to communicate with Venmo developers, understand product vision, and how that vision impacts marketing * Ability to engage appropriate stakeholders, be agile, and communicate across teams to drive projects * Incredible attention to detail, organizational and presentation skills * Proven success in a matrix organization or a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
