Responsibilities
Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code for components of the user interface. Develops the user experience concept, interface design, and architecture. Responsible for interface implementation. Requires strong navigation and user interface design instincts. Develops custom programs for the user interface for applications that will attract and appeal to users, and provide desired information. Creates the user interface for applications and components from the requirements stage, through design, through production deployment. Possesses a thorough knowledge of user interface design techniques. Develops new user interfaces for applications through packaged and customized applications. Creates front-end user interface to new or existing databases using a combination of VB and .NET or other languages to make business applications accessible. Designs and implements user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use. Experienced in graphics, layout, scripting, programming, as well as development involving compatibility and seamless integration with various technologies such as VB and .NET. Participate in usability reviews and lead improvements in front end design. Must be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the UI direction, visuals and experience. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering. Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders. Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards. Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps. Proficiency in visual design and wire-framing tools. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process Will have responsibility for applying Lean UX concepts using the following technologies: VB, .NET, Responsive Web Design.
Ideal Candidate
* Associate's Degree or higher and/or 5-15 years experience * Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 2 - 5 yrs of experience, or a Master's with 0-2 yrs of experience. * Will have responsibility for applying Lean UX concepts using the following technologies: VB, .NET, Responsive Web Design.
