Responsibilities
Vencore provides pre- and post-acquisition support for system development, including System and Solution Architecture; collecting mission needs, developing technical requirements, integration and project management throughout the development cycle, independent verification and validation, transition to operations, end-to-end requirements management and configuration management. This contract supports an Intelligence Community organization which is responsible for providing mission-specific applications in the fight against terrorism. The Network Systems Engineer will provide systems engineering and architecture advice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Understanding and documenting clients architecture - CCIE or CCDP with 5-10 years hands-on experience with Juniper or CISCO routers, switches, firewalls, gateways - Will be responsible for development and validation of Enterprise Netowork requirements - Establishing the Enterprise Network services within the architecture ( local or cloud ) - Evaluating designs in relation to these requirements and ensuring compliance with the architecture. - Maintaining awareness of the latest technologies and alternatives - Assist client in formulating plans for implementation of hybrid cloud architecture - Performing technical evaluations and capacity planning for client infrastructure - Provide recommendations on process and hardware improvements - Evaluate proposals and provide feedback in the context of clients hybrid cloud migration - Establish procedures and policies for disaster recovery facility - Interacting with clients front-line support teams as the SME - Working closely with Application and Network Architects and Engineers
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Requirements:** - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience - Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate proposals - 8-12 years of related Systems Engineering, or increasing architecture, requirements, analysis, engineering, and/or acquisition responsibilities - Leadership and negotiation skills to work effectively in a dynamic team environment to resolve issues between different organizational viewpoints and implement the vision of senior government executives. - TS/SCI with Polygraph **Desired Qualifications:** * Experience with Agile Development * Experience with INCOSE * Experience with the Systems Engineering Life-cycle * Experience with Web Applications * Experience with Big Data * Experience with Software Development * Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) Experience * Hadoop/No-SQL or related big Data Experience * Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud experience
