Applications Developer

* Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software related to Intelligence Analysis/Counterterrorism/Network Analysis, Predictive Modeling, and Entity Resolution. * Software assists with threat research, machine learning, variance analysis, and hypothesis testing. Software includes Apache Commons, Google Guava, Google Reflections, etc. * Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. * Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. * Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. * Evaluates effectiveness. * Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. * Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. * Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. * Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. * Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Acts as team leader on projects. * Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of others on the development team. * Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports.

* Masters Degree in related field and/or 15 years of relevant experience to the job responsibilities. * Ten (10) or more years of demonstrated experience in software related to modeling, machine learning, and network visualization against person-based threats. * Five (5) or more years of demonstrated experience working in classified environments in support of intelligence, defense or law enforcement operations. * Ability to provide technical leadership on major technology assignments. Ability to establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. * Has domain and expert technical knowledge. * Oversees financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. * Interacts with senior management and assists in client negotiations. * Requires Secret clearance.
