Level I Test Engineer

Responsible for assisting test team in developing testing plans, ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results

• Performs analysis of documented user requirements and directs or assists in the design of test plans to support them
• Ensures that the test design and documentation supports specified time lines and budgets
• Ensures project managers are fully informed of testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements
• Performs manual and automated functional, regression, interoperability and acceptance testing of sprint outputs and completed applications including E-Verify, save and other agency systems
• Coordinates with the Scrum Teams to plan, script and implement test plans, cases and scripts
• Participates in all phases of the Agile-Scrum Methodology, including risk assessment

Required:

• The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/USCIS EOD Suitability Clearance
• An Associate’s Degree and/or higher or 1+ years of experience
• A working knowledge of software development testing using the Agile-Scrum methodology

  • Automation 508 tools, including Web Accessibility Toolbar
  • Test tools including SoapUI, Selenium, SpecFlow and HP’s LoadRunner
  • Markup languages, including HTML and XML
  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems and services, including IIS
  • Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Project and SharePoint
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio (2007 or newer) and TechSmith SnagIT
  • SAS Tools, including Enterprise Guide, Information Map Studio, Metadata Manager
  • TTY Emulator
  • Quest’s Toad for Oracle, version 12.0, or newer
  • Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome
  • Adobe Acrobat and related products

Desired:

• Experience with modeling, productivity and editors including UML, Snag IT and XMLSpy (2014)
• Experience testing in an Agile/Scrum environment
