Database Specialist

We are looking for an Administrative Data Specialist to support our client, Department of Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Charlottesville, VA. Must have a Top Secret SCI clearance.

The Administrative Data Specialist will assist our office in transitioning Capstone Threat Assessments (CTA) to a dynamic online Threat Library.

• Acts as a project member in the design and installation of database applications.
• Ensures appropriate linkages to existing databases and data processing systems.
• Ensures adequate security and recovery procedures are included in all data base designs.
• Directs the training of user groups in the protocols involved in updating and accessing the database.
• Monitors database transactions to ensure correct usage of the database.
• Provides technical expertise on the database system to user and data processing personnel.

Qualifications:

• At a minimum should have relevant work experience within the last three (3) years in current database management systems technologies, application design utilizing various database management systems, and experience with database management systems internals.
• Experience should demonstrate the ability to meet the duties described in the functional responsibilities.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Mathematics. Or equivalent experience in a related field.
