As an Enterprise Architect at Vantiv, you will be responsible for the strategy, design and integration of software components across the company to support the development of strategic business capabilities. The role of an Enterprise Architect is not only to develop an understanding of how the current systems in place function and are integrated together, but to create a 2-3 year vision for how the platforms need to change and adapt to both business and technological trends. Business value is critical, so ongoing work with both Product and Lines of Business will be required to either create or update the target architecture.
- Create and maintain a target state enterprise architecture for a given business capability area such as transaction processing, customer service, customer acquisition, or corporate functions
- Support discovery exercises with Product and Business
- Create Solution Architectures for strategic business initiatives
- Work with Product and Engineering as part of their quarterly planning cycles to define Transition Architectures
- Complete architectural documentation and present it at conceptual governance
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- General understanding of an Enterprise Architecture framework, such as TOGAF or Archimate
- Clear understanding of Web services approach, including Web service protocols such as SOAP and REST
- Proven track record in delivering SOA (service-oriented architecture) enterprise-level projects, from ideation to implementation
- Expertise in architecture of one of the following technical areas: Enterprise Integration, Sales / CRM Platforms, Portal and Web development, IBM Mainframe (Online and Batch), eCommerce, Payment Processing
- Preferred technology background: WebMethods, SalesForce.com, Liferay Portal, IBM Assembler, Java, .NET, IIS, WebSphere, Cloudera
- Excellent written/verbal communication and influencing skills -- required to present in groups of anywhere from 10-50 people
- 10-15 years of relevant IT experience and BS Degree required
Working Conditions:
- Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like
- Extended viewing of computer screen
