Summary
Provide technical expertise for development, design and execution of capital, expense and maintenance projects in a safe, profitable, timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
* Participates in various stages of project development including project identification, economic and feasibility analyses, early-phase design, and cost estimation. * Manages small to large engineering projects from conception to execution. * Prepares support packages and Authorization for Expenditures (AFE's) for pipeline and terminal projects. * Prepares specifications and procures materials and equipment for timely and efficient execution of projects. * Prepares work orders to correct deficiencies and increase performance of company assets as identified. * Assists in the optimization of existing assets, which may include hydraulic analysis. * Works with contract personnel and engineering firms as needed. * Supports projects simultaneously within a managed budget and execution schedule. * Reduces potential risk to public safety and environment, and minimizes company liability. * Coordinates with other departments such as Right-of-Way, Safety & Environmental, Regulatory Compliance, and Operations in the management and development of projects. * Follows all safety rules and guidelines as established by the Company.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering required. * Two or more years of engineering experience in a pipeline, terminal or related operating environment required. * Ability to perform standard engineering calculations pertaining to liquid flow and hydraulics required. * Knowledge and experience with appropriate Standards and Codes such as ASME B31.4, API 653, DOT CFR 195, and other applicable API standards and Recommended Practices with regard to pipeline and terminal design and construction required. * Working experience and knowledge of Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) and engineering design drawings required.
