Summary
The Sr. Analyst: IT Systems supports and coordinates with the Converged Infrastructure team in the design, implementation, and support of the company’s in-house, private hybrid cloud environment in a diverse computing environment. This position is responsible for research for making recommendations to ensure optimal systems performance and optimal levels of availability, integrity, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate is someone that has in-depth experience administering enterprise level systems, including storage, compute, and virtualization. The position will also manage other IT projects within the IT Department and will cross train and support other members of the IT team. Personal responsibility, ownership, and thoughtful execution of work is paramount.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for private and hosted cloud server infrastructure. This role will be working closely with others in maintaining and expanding our infrastructure servers and data storage across multiple environments in multiple co-located datacenters. - Comply with all current and future Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI-DSS IT standards and procedures relating to compliance-enforced systems, including maintenance and changes as necessary - Implement and maintain enterprise compute platforms (HP DL/BL/C7, Cisco UCS), and storage array network (Dell, HP) following industry standard best practices and frameworks - Monitor and maintain enterprise data retention platforms for virtual, cloud, and SAN environments - Plan, provision, and maintain the virtualization platforms Server/Desktop (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft), including troubleshooting issues in a complex compute, storage, and network environment - Manage and maintain Microsoft and Linux operating environments, including common operating platforms, including SQL, IIS, Apache, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, etc. - Develops procedures and conducts routine hardware and software audits of servers and services to ensure maximum platform stability, reliability, and security, including making recommendations for overall design improvements and project planning. - Responsible for timely delivery of projects as assigned by Converged Infrastructure Manager - Creating and maintain clearly written systems documentation for technical and/or nontechnical teams - Provides Tier 3 support to other teams regarding application issues in relationship to the compute, network, and storage components.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications** - Must have 6+ years of related experience in systems administration role for an enterprise with 500 or more servers. - Must have 3+ years of relevant experience with enterprise implementations of VMware clusters, with Microsoft and Linux guests, on enterprise compute and storage hardware in a design lead or architect role. - Advanced systems proficiency at all levels (Tier 1-4 support) - Availability for afterhours support and maintenance, on-call duties, including occasional travel to remote sites - BA Degree in MIS or 7 years’ experience in similar role **Preferred Qualifications** - VCP 5.x or 6, MCITP, Citrix CCA - Advanced experience with VMware Ecosystems including HP and Cisco blade architectures and Dell Compellent and HP Lefthand/3par SANs - Understanding of fundamentals of common Cisco network technologies
