Quality Assurance Engineer

The ideal candidate is an experienced QA Engineer with a focus on manual / exploratory testing. This position requires interacting with agile scrum teams and testing functional increments of software, in addition to production releases. The ideal candidate is passionate about testing in a highly collaborative team environment creating next-generation components. Must possess a high level of motivation for on-going learning and self-improvement.

* Design, develop and execute manual / exploratory tests * Develop and update test strategies / plans * Write meaningful defect reports to varied audiences * Work with test leads to ensure teams deliver to timelines with a high degree of quality * Advocate for the customer and stakeholders during the entire development cycle of new production release products * Build tests to automate/assist in the QA process where possible * Communicate clearly to a technical and non-technical audience * Manage product / code releases on a daily and sometimes on-call basis

* 2-4 years experience in performing and understanding software testing preferred * Experience testing web-based applications strongly desired * Experience testing PHP-based applications preferred * Strong debugging / troubleshooting skills * Required to have strong team collaboration skills * Solid understanding of test methodologies * Solid database knowledge (MySQL a plus) * Solid understanding and experience writing SQL queries * Experience testing software on mobile apps or API a plus
