Technical Manager

• Manage application development
• Identify and manage project dependencies
• Estimate the resources and identify team members needed to achieve project goals.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones
• Effectively communicate project status and issues to team members and stakeholders
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members
• Review and approve development teams technical approaches
• Confer with other managers on integration and infrastructure requirements
• Lead in the creation of lifecycle documents – requirements, use cases, and technical designs

• University BS, BA or Masters required
• 5 years direct work experience in an IT Project Management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
• "Big" Data and Open Systems experience
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development framework
• Demonstrated experience in personnel management
• Experience with most of the following - Hadoop, Redis, Kafka, Postgres, Angular JS, Golang.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products

• Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management training sessions, presentations and meetings.
