We are currently accepting for an enthusiastic individual to be the Group X Fitness Director. USA Fitness established since 2006, we are a growing luxury health club with several locations.

This position is under the direction of the Owner and is responsible for hiring, scheduling, training, supervising, and evaluating all employee and volunteer group exercise instructors and contracted specialty instructors for the Group X Department. This position is responsible for evaluating the quality of the Group X Exercise Department, members’ needs and enhancing the program accordingly. This candidate will assist in creating, growing and attracting new classes, promos and events to increase revenue. The Director will be expected to stay up to date on their knowledge of upcoming group exercise trends. Oversee the maintenance of fitness equipment and inventory control of program supplies. In this position you will train and/or teach five hours or less a week on a regular basis or as needed.

* Must have 3+ years of practical experience in health and wellness preferred. * Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing to individuals and small groups. Must be able to build rapport and relationships with all instructors and members. * Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, demonstrate all cardiovascular and weight machines, and lift up to 50 pounds. * Must be enthusiastic and exude a desire to motivate and help others to improve their level of professionalism through growth and development in the fitness industry. * Must be proficient in window based programs i.e. Word, Excel and Publisher. * Must be able to receive and maintain CPR, first aid, AED, blood borne pathogen, child abuse training certifications. * Previous supervisory experience preferred. * Four-year college degree in Exercise Science or related field of study or working on degree preferred.
