Mechanic

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Comply with all US Ecology Management System policies and procedures - Perform job duties in such a manner as to comply with government regulations - Repair and maintain all roll-off trailers, tankers, yard vehicles and roll off boxes - Obtain quotes and order parts as needed for maintenance and repairs - Welding of carbon, aluminum and stainless – Acetylene and Oxygen torches - Repair and rebuild vacuum pumps - Steel Fabricating - Body repair (including fiber glassing and painting) - Mechanical repairs - Heavy equipment repair, including hydraulics - Perform annual inspections - Drive to pick-up parts as necessary - Relocate trailers, tankers and heavy equipment around the yard and maintenance garage as necessary - Participate directly in emergency response operations relating to activities conducted at the facility’s site and transportation activities, both on and off-site which involve the facility’s equipment and personnel - Assist with house keeping of maintenance area - Perform all duties and tasks in the most safe and secure manner, using Personal - Protective Equipment when applicable

Education/Experience - High School diploma or GED equivalent - 2-3 years industrial maintenance or mechanic experience - Knowledge of environmental regulations and OSHA Requirements - Posses basic tools for the job - Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure - Ability to work well with others and independently with minimal supervision - Must be able to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
