Summary

You are a Product Manager with the ability to lead large-scale projects collaboratively with cross-functional teams ranging from engineering and design, to marketing, sales and customer support. You have strong customer-facing skills and enjoy conducting customer discovery interviews, onsite visits and presentations.

You have experience defining product strategy and roadmaps. At Urban Airship you would maintain and enhance our core mobile engagement product.

Responsibilities
  • Define product requirements, positioning and messaging
  • Own overall product lifecycle
  • Conduct competitive, pricing and financial analysis
  • Work closely with Urban Airship customers to understand their product vision/needs and translate that to the Engineering team
  • Work hands-on with the development team to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets customer requirements
  • Work with design resources (internal and/or external) to ensure timely delivery of designs and assets to the development team
  • Identify potential customer success stories and share with Urban Airship marketing team
  • Help innovate and iterate on product development processes
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of product management experience, especially with mobile and web-based products
  • Skilled at defining and prioritizing product features
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to teach others
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision-making
  • Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and customers
  • Previous success working with an agile or lean development team
  • Background in design or software development a plus
  • Ability to interact with customers at a variety of levels and across functions
  • A proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical-thinking
  • Skilled at maintaining composure in stressful situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional initiative and follow-through skills
