Summary
The QA Manager will report to the Director of Product Engineering. The primary duty of the QA Manager is to technically contribute to a project as an individual contributor.
Responsibilities
* Work with Director of Product Engineering to recruit, interview, and hire QA engineers * Manage and mentor team of QA engineers, * Collaborate within a cross functional scrum team to provide input on requirements, design, estimation and testing approach at the feature and story level * Work with product and engineering to ensure the scope of tests is comprehensive and to mitigate defects prior to testing * Write and contribute to manual test plansHelp create test data sets which fully exercise data validation and end-to-end system functionality
Ideal Candidate
* You have 2+ years experience managing a team of QA engineersYou have 5+ years experience testing desktop,responsive web apps, and native mobile apps. * You can lead a team to accomplish more than they think they are capable of. You know when to lead by example and when to give constructive feedback. * Although you serve in a management capacity, you are both a coach and a player. You have strong fundamentals and are working on core QA tasks alongside your team. * You prefer an Agile process and working on a cross-functional team. * You are well versed in JIRA and Testrail or other similar ticketing and testing tools. * You have experience creating comprehensive test scenarios/data at multiple levels - feature level, integration, E2E and providing accurate LOE estimations * You have experience with manual testing methodologies of complex workflow systemsYou are someone who prides themselves on your thoroughness. The buck stops with you.
