Summary
The UCIT Business Application Services team seeks to fill a departmental position for a Web Applications Administrator. This position is a member of the team specifically tasked with maintaining centralized Enterprise Application Services; including web application delivery, web hosting, content management systems, and database administration. Web Application Administrators are required to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (approximately 1 week per month).
Responsibilities
* Deploying, configuring and maintaining web application delivery platforms, primarily IIS and Apache/Tomcat * Working with University application developers to deploy and migrate custom-built applications * Testing and tuning to ensure performance and availability of centrally-managed web applications and hosting environments * Administration and tier-3 support of the University's central content management system (Adobe CQ) * Administration and tier-3 support of various line-of-business applications, including the University’s room scheduling system (CollegeNet 25Live!) and billing system (Calero Pinnacle) * Administration of application development tools, such as Bamboo (build server) and GitHub Enterprise (code repository)
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a relevant degree and two (2) years related experience or a Associate’s degree with four (4) years’ experience or six (6) years’ experience. Experience and/or training include advanced level experience working with specific types of hardware and software systems used by the university and demonstrate proficient experience/skills. * 2+ years’ experience with web application delivery and middleware platforms (IIS 7+, Apache, Tomcat, Websphere, JBoss, Glassfish, Payara, etc.) **Ideal Qualifications** * 1+ year of experience administering Adobe CQ, AEM and/or Sling. * Some experience with Java EE in a production environment (or “alternate” Java VMs such as Apache Felix). * Some experience with DevOps practices and/or Continuous Integration concepts and tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven). * Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from either an Application Development or a Development Operations environment. * Any experience with any or all of the following tools and applications: Bamboo, Git, R25/25Live!, RepliWeb.
